Brief Description: The artist photographed this piece as he walked down the stairs at the Vintage Camera Museum in Shanghai. He saw the complexity of one’s identity as two beams of light interlaced with each other. The gradation of light and shades of shadow reminded the artist of how culture can abstrusely shape the essence of one’s being.
